Programme Leads

Programme Manager

Overseeing the programme to enable successful planning, supervision and execution of programmes.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of military experience training foreign military personnel and units at battalion or brigade level 
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • Minimum of five years experience as a Programme Manager in security force training or related area
  • Experience with standard contract, financial and management practices and procedures within an overseas contract
  • Training or operational experience in Sub-Saharan Africa 
  • Bachelor's Degree

Deputy Programme Manager

Assisting the Programme Manager in all aspects of the Progamme.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of military operations training foreign military personnel and units at battalion or brigade level
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • Experience with standard contract, financial and management practices and procedures within an overseas contract
  • Training or operational experience in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Bachelor's degree

Individual/Collective Training

Staff Trainer

Lead efforts to train, mentor and advise training centre staff and senior leaders.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of UK or NATO military experience including combat arms battalion/brigade staff officer experience on a UK or NATO military staff
  • Attainment of military grade Major or higher
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (military or police) training experience in the last five years
  • Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with experience in capacity building and unit level assessments
  • French language proficiency
  • Commanded a combat arms battalion level unit in UK or NATO military land forces
  • Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Battalion and/or brigade staff experience whilst deployed to a peacekeeping or other contingency operation
  • UN peacekeeping operations experience

Soldier Skills Trainer

Lead efforts to train, mentor and advise battalion and brigade sized units.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of UK or NATO military experience in a combat arms speciality
  • Attainment of military grade SNCO and higher
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with experience in capacity building and unit level assessments
  • Experience as an instructor in training unit developing individual and collective skills
  • Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa

Engagement Team Trainer

Trainer and mentor for the development of engagement teams.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years UK or foreign military experience
  • Demonstrated military experience as a civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) practitioner 
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • At least one deployment to a combat, peacekeeping or other contingency operation as part of a civil affairs, engagement, Human Terrain or other CIMIC related team
  • Completion of UK or foreign equivalent recognised FET or civil affairs course for land forces
  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa

Advanced Training Management Trainer

Instructor for training in training management, training resource management and instructor development.

Experience and Requirements

  • ​​​​​​​Minimum of 15 years of UK or NATO military experience, including demonstrated training management or training resource management experience at battalion level
  • Attainment of military grade Major or higher
  • Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building and unit-level assessments
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • Experience in organisational development, conducting activities intended to drive institutional improvement and self-sufficient organisational change
  • Experience in a UK or NATO military training and doctrine development organisation, or permanent assignment to a UK or NATO military training school or combat training centre 
  • Regional experience in Sub-Sahran Africa

Logistics Training

Senior Battalion Logistics Trainer

Trainer and mentor for battalion or brigade logistics training.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years UK or NATO military experience
  • Demonstrated experience planning and providing tactical-level logistics to battalion level soldiers and their systems
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • At least one deployment to a combat, peacekeeping or other contingency operation whilst serving in a logistics unit or assigned as a logistics staff officer
  • Previous experience as an instructor to foreign military forces

UN Logistics Trainer

Trainer and mentor for advanced logistics capacity training for UN operations.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of UK or foreign military or civilian equivalent experience in planning, training and coordinating sustainment, maintenance and transportation support to deploying units
  • Knowledge of command supply discipline programme with ability to maintain accountability of supplies and equipment and seek reimbursement in accordinace with the UN Contingent Owned Equipment Manual
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last five years
  • At least one deployment to a UN mission whilst serving in a logistics capacity
  • Experience as an Instructor

Medical Training

Medical Trainer

Trainer and mentor for medical training.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years UK or foreign military medical occupational speciality experience
  • Minimum Emergency Medical Technician (basic)/paramedic qualification
  • Experience working in trauma hospital or conducting triage operations during peacekeeping or disaster relief operations
  • Experience as a trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in medical capacity building
  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa

Engineer/EOD Training

Construction Engineering Trainer

Trainer and mentor for engineering training.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of military construction engineering occupational speciality experience
  • Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with experience in capacity building
  • Experience managing military construction engineering projects (force protection, camp design, water or road improvement missions) in austere environments
  • Recent experience whilst deployed to a combat, peacekeeping or other contingency operation at Captain, Lt Col, SNCO or WO level
  • UN peacekeeping operations experience
  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa

Combat Engineering Trainer

Trainer and mentor for combat engineering training, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD), explosive hazard awareness and IED defeat training techniques.

Experience and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years UK or NATO military combat engineering occupational or branch speciality experience at Captain, Lt Col, SNCO or WO level
  • Current certification IMAS EOD Level 3 Instructor or equivalent
  • Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building
  • Recent experience (combat engineering or EOD unit) whilst deployed to a combat, peacekeeping or other contingency operation
